Our community map-maker
New community platforms die in empty rooms. If nobody can find anything on day one, nobody comes back on day two. No matter how good the core concept is.
Fort Collins has 500+ event calendars across venue websites, nonprofits, schools, clubs, and local businesses. So we built the map before we opened the doors.
The Amplifier discovers local calendars, reads them, and lists events here so you have something real to find immediately. We get to show off what we can do and event hosts get a bit of extra traffic.
We use search, scraping, and classification to find calendar pages from venues, arts orgs, nonprofits, community groups, and businesses.
When we find events, we link back to the source. We are not trying to replace your event page. We send people to it. We don't collect event images or other assets because we just want to boost the signal, not copy it entirely.
We also map local journalism feeds, government resources, transit schedules, weather information, wildfire alerts, and local places. The point is simple: do the legwork once so everyone benefits.
We opted organizations in without asking first. That is a dark pattern. We know it.
The alternative dark pattern was worse: a local app full of missing events that pressures people with FOMO and mystery. Two bad options. We picked the one that made the place useful instead of anxious.
This is not permanent doctrine. As the community matures, syndication can shift toward opt-in.
If your organization is listed and you want removal or corrections, contact us. We will handle it immediately. If you want to claim your business and take control of your amplifier, Visit For Businesses to claim your listing or request removal.
