An events platform for common interests within local communities.
An Area is roughly the size of a city. You can join up to 10. Everything you see on circlefinder is scoped to that context: Events, Groups, Posts, local media/news, government resources, weather, emergency alerts, Businesses, and Venues nearby.
Think of it as a living map of your community. Not a global feed with some local results mixed in. A map.
We do not optimize for reach or virality. We optimize for relevance. Your neighbors are more significant than a viral Post from another timezone.
A network of interests like an artificial coral reef. The structure exists before anyone shows up. We analyzed events and made gathering spots for all the categories we could find.
Trailhead Groups are default Groups for every major Interest in your Area. They are already there when you arrive. Groups like Dance, Jewelry Making, Books, and Strength Training need no invitation.
Trail Groups are User-founded Groups that grow out of Trailhead Groups once a Group earns them. They are built through proposals, Votes, and proven activity. They support specific Interests like Folk Art Collecting, Crochet, and Improv Comedy.
Groups are where local participation happens: Posts, Comments, Reactions, Events, and Survey Posts. As a Group grows, it unlocks new tools.
The exact unlock path changes as Groups mature. Survey Posts, channels, Events, and newsletters appear when the Group has earned the matching capability.
This is not gamification for its own sake. It is Groups earning the tools to run themselves.
Browse by interest, area, or date. RSVP, buy tickets, or join a waitlist. If an event is free, it is free to list.
Paid tickets include a 5% fee. Verified nonprofits get that fee waived.
Many events are discovered automatically from existing community calendars. That system is called the Amplifier.
You build credibility by showing up. Attend Events. Post. Comment. Participate with other people.
Levels run from Observer (0) through Beacon (9). Each level unlocks new abilities.
Your level is visible to you, not displayed to other Users. It governs what you can do, not how you appear.
This is a trust system. The people who show up earn the tools to help govern Groups.
